How to Fruit your Mini Farm

1. Remove the stamped out window at the front of your Mini Farm

2. With a clean, sharp knife, cut an X into the plastic.

3. Place your Mini Farm in an indoor location with ambient light, but out of direct sunlight

4. Spray with water 2x per day, mushrooms will start to appear in under 2 weeks!

FAQ

No, most gourmet mushies like darkness half of the day, and dim light the other half of the day. Just like if they were growing under a tree canopy. As long as they are away from direct sunlight they will thrive!

Inside your kit box is a living organism, we recommend opening it upon purchase.

If you’re not ready to use it, keep your Mini Farm in the fridge for up to 6 weeks.

All of the strains we sell are vigorous, so after storing for a few weeks they may start fruiting inside the box! Strains like Lion’s Mane and Pink oysters are known for premature pinning (they sometimes start fruiting before the box is opened.)
Do not put Pink Oysters & Yellow Oysters in the fridge. Being a tropical strain, it doesn’t like the cold “brrrr” 🥶🥶

Anywhere away from direct sunlight, such as a kitchen counter or an office room.

Look for a cooler corner in your house, it’s always better to be on the cooler side than the warmer side of the recommended temperature range.

We recommend growing inside as temperatures and humidity don’t fluctuate as much.

With the right care, expect 2 or 3 crops. We provide the best commercial grade substrate and fungi straing, but ultimately their growth is dependent on the envirment and care during fruiting process.

In terms of yields, expect about 200g to 300g on your first crop of Oysters (remember, mushrooms are light so volume is high).

Following flushes are likely to be smaller and smaller until the block runs out of energy.

To harvest, reach your hand between the mushroom cluster and the box, twist and pull just enough to break the cluster off the block. You can also cut them off carefully with a sharp knife.

You might have a few baby mushrooms left on the box, remove them all before you start spraying again for a another crop.

Soy Hulls

Soy Hulls supply nutrients like nitrogen, potassium, and trace minerals which help support rapid mushroom growth.

Sawdust

Sawdust acts as a carbon-rich base material and provides structure and stability for mycelium to grow through.

Water

Water is essential for mushroom development and helps maintain the humidity needed for successful fruiting.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Mushroom Kits are essentially a myceliated block of substrate. All the technical work has been done for you, and all you need to do is open it up and start spraying with water.

Our Mushroom Kits are extremely easy to grow, they're designed to bridge the gap between everyday people and the confusing world of mushroom cultivation. If you're over the age of 5, these kits are for you! 😁

  1. Remove the stamped out window at the front of your Kit.
  2. With a clean, sharp knife, cut an X into the plastic.
  3. Place your Kit in an indoor location with ambient light, but out of direct sunlight.
  4. Spray with water 2x per day. Mushrooms will start to appear in under 2 weeks!

No, our mushies like darkness half of the day, and light the other half — just like if they were growing under a tree canopy. As long as they are away from direct sunlight, they will thrive!

Inside your kit box is a living organism called mushroom mycelium. We recommend opening it upon purchase. If you’re not ready to use it, keep your Kit in the fridge for up to 6 weeks. If you store it too long, they may start fruiting inside of the box.

Anywhere indoors, away from direct sunlight. We recommend growing them on your kitchen counter. Try to avoid the laundry if you use a dryer often, or a bathroom where you have hot showers — hot steam is not good for your Kit.

We guarantee at least one crop of mushrooms when following our instructions. But it’s likely you’ll get a second, third and even fourth crop with care and patience.

In terms of yields, expect about 200g to 300g on your first crop of Oysters. Following flushes are likely to be smaller until the block runs out of energy.

To harvest, reach your hand between the mushroom cluster and the box, twist and pull just enough to separate the mushrooms from the box. You can also cut them off carefully with a sharp knife.

You might have a few baby mushrooms left — remove them all. You can then start spraying again for another crop.
